Here When We Need Him

In 2011 Liebig Berries was struck by a microburst that toppled hundreds of trees, removed slate from the farm house roof, and destroyed the original canvas farm stand. Our good friend Steve Meriam, Director of Sales for STIHL, Inc., in Virginia Beach, Virginia, sprang into action! Steve sent Iva’s son, David, STIHL chain saws, bar and chain oil, helmets, chaps, hearing and eye protection, gloves and ropes—everything he  needed to clean up the damages on the property.

Fast forward to 2021. Steve is now retired from STIHL, Inc. after an illustrious 35-year career, and while enjoying a much-deserved cross country trip with his wife, Sue, he insisted on spending some time helping around the farm! We’re happy and proud to call Steve our friend, and we truly appreciate all his hard work around Liebig Berries!
